Trenching with cutter head attachments and cutter-bucket combinations creates smooth, safe walls, and has lower vibrations. It makes much less noise which makes for better operation in sensitive areas. The cut material is suitable for backfill and pipe bedding which means about 50% less backfill is required, creating significate concrete savings. Lastly, trenching with a cutter head attachment or a cutter-bucket combination gives the contractor a higher rate of production for most material.
